Is early music a breakfast tune?

During the spring of 2019, SEMF offers for the first time youngEMpower, two interactive workshops around early music and dance, for culture schools and their pupils.  

This project which is linked to the European Early Music Day in March and the festival week in June, aims to evoke the curiosity and to raise the knowledge in the schools about this exciting repertoire. YoungEMpower is devided into two parts:

Part I: youngEMpower - inspirational workshop for teachers of the Cultural School A workshop for the teachers to be inspired and to inspire the students in their turn about the topic of music and dance from the 16th and the 17th century, on the day before the European Early Music Day.

Part II: young EMpower - workshop for pupils and theachers of the Cultural School, including a public performance  Pupils, together with teachers of the Cultural School take part in a dancing and playing worskhop which concludes with a public performance at Stortorget (the "Big Square") in the Old Town of Stockholm, the same afternoon, June 2nd!
