Stockholm Early Music Festival is proud to open its anniversary edition with one of the most successful early music ensembles worldwide Concentus Musicus Wien, founded in 1953 by the recently passed away Polar Prize laureate Nikolaus Harnoncourt. A milestone in the history of the festival, that celebrates the source of the modern early music and opened the door to a new perspective on the interpretation of the repertoire: historically informed sounds best!

Concentus Musicus presents works by Baroque composers active in Austria, like Biber,  Schmelzer and Fux, with an excursion out to Purcell's beautiful and seldom heard ”Dioclesian”-suite.

Swedish Radio is broadcasting live from the concert!

Ticket prices: 100 SEK - 420 SEK. Numbered seats in four sections. Admission: 30 minutes before the concert.
