Court and military musicians of the 18th century lived a sometimes dangerous life. The history of Johan Sebastian Bach's big brother Johann Jacob is like an adventure novel. He followed his king to war regions as Ucrania or Turkey, and ended his days in Stockholm. Owe Ander is Associate Professor in Musicology at Stockholm University.
