OPENING PERFORMANCE
EARLY MUSIC SOUNDSCAPES
WELCOME TO STORTORGET! Sound transmission did not wait for the invention of microphones. From the earliest times, composers have been depicting in music their daily surroundings and environments and sonically described their urban atmospheres. Selected historical musical fragments and local soundscape elements will combine to form a living sonic fresco, recreating and evoking the atmospheres and situations that may have inhabited Stortorget in the past.
Ludwig Frydén Kristensson & Martin Lood, trumpet, Jonathan Wettermark & Nils Carlsson, trombone, Adam Dennis & Rolf Landberg, percussion. Sound design: Ricardo Atienza and participants of the "Sound in Interaction” course, at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design.
