What about Händel´s monumental "Messiah" performed by only 4 musicians?! And don´t miss the Early Late Night Concert where you can enjoy an organ recital, listening on your mattress. In between - storytelling.

SEMFestivalpass for 250 SEK (available until 13/12, 4 PM) entitles the holder to:
6 PM - 7 PM Concert: Händel´s Messiah for 4 musicians - Ensemble Odd Size (reg. 170 SEK). German Church. 8.30 PM - 9 PM Storytelling (in Swedish) with Håkan Simonsson: Julens mysterier och legender (Christmas mysteries and legends). Free admission when showing the SEMFestivalpass or a ticket from one of the IV SEMF Christmas Edition concerts. Limited number of seats! Gildenhaus, next to the German Church. 9.15 PM - 10 PM Early Late Night Concert including mattress place - Michael Dierks, organ (reg. 130 SEK). German Church.

 To perform Händel´s Messiah with only 4 musicians can seem to be impossible, but the ensemble Odd Size has produced a version of this masterpiece and the result is somewhat revived, sprightly, playful, heartfelt and maybe also with a slight touch of madness... Neither choir nor orchestra or conductor are in place - but the listener will get very close to the immortal music of Händel!

 Stressed out before Christmas? During the Early Late Night Concert - SEMFs popular night concert concept - you are enjoying early music relaxed in hibernation on a mattress, with candlelight and live music near you. The cathedral organist Michael Dierks plays on the beautiful golden Düben organ and performs compositions by J.S. Bach, Georg Muffat, Michael Praetorius, Dietrich Buxtehude and leads you to the land of dreams... "Lie low" in a highly recommended cosy atmosphere!
