What happens in other cultures during our Christmas holiday? Shab-e Yalda (Yalda-night) is a Persian-Kurdish ceremony celebrated during winter solstice, the longest and darkest night of the year, with links to the European Christmas roots. Yalda, meaning "birth", is a family and friends get together where traditional music, poem reading and dancing play an important role. Do not miss this different and exotic opening of Christmas Edition with MAAD Ensemble - (in)directly from Mesopotamia!

Tickets: 150 SEK (B) 200 SEK (A)

A miniature miracle play where the puppets have the main roles. A battle between light and darkness which has been going on since the beginning of time. A glimpse of a quaint world - where play is serious and seriousness is playful.

Annika Arnell is a puppet maker, puppeteer & scenographer and Anna Westman puppeteer & musician - in the service of imagination.    Free entrance with SEMFestivalpass or concert ticket!

Näsbom & Edlund Duo |

If J S Bach would have visited Sweden with little Carl Philipp Emanuel during Christmas 1720, maybe to visit his brother Jacob...which Christmas carols and dances would have reached their ears from the snowy streets of Stockholm? Torbjörn Näsbom on keyed fiddle and Andreas Edlund, harpsichord are folk musicians who play baroque music and baroque musicians playing folk music of mere desire, feeling, intuition and love. A racy consert for you loving both music genres!

Tickets: 130 SEK (B) 180 SEK (A)

Tickets: 220 SEK (A) 170 SEK (B) In collaboration with the Lithuanian Embassy and the Lithuanian Culture Institute.Canto Fiorito webpage 20:00 - 21:00The German Church
