The DUPLO TICKET gives you a discounted entrance price for two concerts, 5.30 pm and 8 pm during VIII SEMF Christmas Edition 2019. •When buying the DUPLO TICKET you can choose a permanent seat (same place for the concerts) in the German Church, rows 5, 6 and 7, A-section. •A Swedish ”Christmas-Festival-Fika” (coffee and bun) at 4.45 pm - 5.25 pm is included in the DUPLO TICKET. •The DUPLO TICKET is valid for the concerts at 5.30 pm (Helsinge Baroque Band) och 8.00 pm (Releasekonsert, Ensemble Villancico). The DUPLO TICKET is not valid for the Early Late Night Concert or the dinner at Grillska Huset. •You purchase your DUPLO TICKET by clicking on the "Buy ticket"-button on the right side. Prof Mattias Lundberg and Peter Pontvik talk about the historical background to, and the music in Missa super Lauda Jerusalem from 1598 by Bertil Kellner - the oldest Swedish polyphonic liturgical composition with a known author. The mass, that has its world première on CD, is performed on the same day at 8 pm in the German Church by Ensemble Villancico (see also below). NOTA BENE! The lecture in Swedish is held in the Ledamotsalen, Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien (The Royal Academy of Music), Blasieholmstorg 8. More info here. ![]() Helsinge Baroque Band invites you to a joyful music experience between the baroque and the folk music world, or as the ensemble expresses it: "Peasant Baroque and Gustavianism, from Swedish Hälsingland and elsewhere”. Baroque "polskor" (Swedish folk dances) are included, as well as music from the Düben collection and by Francesco Barsanti. Performers are Kristine West, flutes, Thomas von Wachenfeldt, baroque violin, Jonas Bleckman, baroque cello and Jonas Nordberg, theorbo & baroque guitar. ![]() Evening- and CD-release ConcertENSEMBLE VILLANCICO (Dir: Peter Pontvik)Sweden´s Earliest Mass - anno 1598World première release concert! On the occasion of the very first CD-recording of Missa super Lauda Jerusalem by Swedish composer Bertil Kellner's (Bartholomeus Chellnerus),- the oldest Swedish liturgical vocal composition by a known author - Ensemble Villancico, conducted by Peter Pontvik, performs these mass with vocal soloists, brass ensemble and organ (Bengt Tribukait). A selection of motets, chorales and songs from the 16th and 17th century, discovered in archives of Västerås and Växjö (Sweden) will complete the programme. The concert is introduced by Prof Mattias Lundberg and short speeches will also be held the event in honour. Tickets: 220 SEK (B-section) och 270 SEK (A-section). Ensemble Villancico |
